SEORANG pelacur bernama Patrizia D'Addario, mendakwa dirinya tertipu dengan seorang ahli politik dan ahli perniagaan yang terkenal di Itali, Silvio Berlusconi.

Patrizia mendakwa dirinya dikhianati oleh Silvio dan berasa takut kerana pernah menerima ugutan malah rumahnya juga diselongkar pada minggu lepas.

Selain itu, Patrizia yang telah menjual hak memoirnya pada bulan lepas juga mendakwa pernah diugut pada awal tahun ini kerana menyimpan rakaman video seks bersama Berlusconi.

Menurut sebuah majalah luar negara, Patrizia pernah bercerita mengenai hubungan intimnya di rumah Berlusconi di Rome.

Tetapi, Silvio pula mendakwa telah menjadi mangsa Patrizia dan menafikan cerita skandal dan cerita tersebut.

Sementara itu, Patrizia mendakwa dia menyerahkan dirinya kepada Silvio dengan harapan pemimpin politik itu akan membantunya membuka sebuah rumah penginapan di Selatan Itali, tempat dimana Patriza membesar. Walaubagaimanapun Patrizia tidak menerima apa-apa dari Silvio.

“Silvio tidak membayar saya apa-apa. Dia tidak sepatutnya memberikan saya wang, tetapi telah berjanji kepada saya sesuatu.

"Saya memberikan Silvio diri saya tetapi tidak mendapat apa-apa sebagai balasan,” tulis Patrizia dalam bukunya.

Patrizia juga menulis bagaimana kerajaan Itali telah menghalang kesemua usahanya untuk membuka rumah penginapan itu.

Sementara itu, bekas isteri Silvio, Veronica Lario,73, telah bercerai dengan Silvio pada musim bunga lepas. Sikap Silvio yang tergila-gilakan wanita muda adalah punca mereka berpisah.

Menurut sebuah akhbar luar negara, dalam rakaman yang direkodkan oleh Patrizia, kedengaran suara seorang lelaki yang dikenal pasti sebagai suara Silvio. Suara itu menyuruh seorang lagi perempuan untuk menunggunya di atas katil sementara Silvio tengah mandi.

Dalam memoir Patrizia pula, dia mendakwa pernah melalui zaman kanak-kanak yang malang. Dia juga mengakui tindakan merekodkan hubungan intimnya bersama Silvio adalah punca dia menerima ugutan ini termasuk kejadian rumahnya diselongkar.

“Mereka telah mengambil semuanya. Mereka hanya meninggalkan sebuah televisyen mahal.

“Sekarang saya amat takut dan telah melaporkan kejadian ini kepada polis,” ujar Patrizia.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi taman tema terbesar di dunia

KUASA dominan Ferrari dalam litar perlumbaan Formula One kini diteruskan dalam persekitaran berbentuk taman tema pula.

Ini kerana Ferrari bakal mempunyai taman temanya yang tersendiri di Abu Dhabi, Emiriyah Arab Bersatu (UAE) menjelang tahun 2010.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi (FWAD) adalah taman tema Ferrari yang pertama di dunia.

Lebih membanggakan, ia bakal menjadi taman tema dalam terbesar di dunia menjelang 2010.

Menurut Pengarah Jualan FWAD, Fabien Laurent, idea dan pembinaan taman tema gergasi ini bermula pada November 2006.

Katanya, FWAD yang bertemakan Ferrari dijangka siap pada suku kedua tahun depan.

"Para pengunjung dapat menghayati keghairahan, prestasi, kecemerlangan dan inovasi teknikal Ferrari apabila menjejakkan kaki ke FWAD," kata Laurent ketika ditemui di hotel Centrol, Abu Dhabi baru-baru ini.

Laurent memberitahu, Abu Dhabi dipilih sebagai lokasi ideal FWAD kerana ia terletak di persimpangan Eropah, Asia dan Afrika.

Katanya, sukan pemotoran juga amat diminati di UAE dan dengan pembukaan FWAD, penduduk dari UAE dan lain-lain negara berpeluang merasai Ferrari dengan cara unik dan seronok.

Dari jauh, FWAD kelihatan seperti kereta Formula 1 gergasi kerana ia berbumbungkan kerangka badan kereta Ferrari GT.

Ia berkeluasan 3 dimensi (3D) sebanyak 200,000 meter persegi.

FWAD terletak di Yas Island, bahagian timur laut Abu Dhabi.

Yas Island terletak sejauh hanya 10 minit perjalanan dari Lapangan Terbang Abu Dhabi, 30 minit dari bandar Abu Dhabi dan 50 minit dari Dubai.

No affair with Tiger, says sexy socialite

Sexy divorcée Rachel Uchitel who is in the centre of the mystery surrounding Tiger Woods' car smash denied being involved in any affair with the world's No 1 golfer.

But she also said that she would have killed him if he was her husband and had been unfaithful.

The multi-millionaire golfer was said to have had a blazing row with his Swedish wife Elin Nordegren - a former swimwear model - over reports of an affair with Rachel Uchitel.

According to the UK's Daily Mirror, Rachel, 34, denied sleeping with Woods, 33, but was "very concerned" about the sporting legend.

She was also horrified that rumours of her friendship with him could have sparked the row.

The New York socialite, said: "God forbid Tiger got into a car wreck because of this false report of him having an affair.

"This is nothing to do with me. We have never had an affair, and the claims we did are completely false."

"We have never talked on the phone or sent any type of text, sexy or not. I am really upset about it because I am being portrayed as a homewrecker, when it simply isn't true."

She added: "Despite it being completely untrue, it still must have caused some problems at home - if I was his wife, I'd have probably killed him."

Elin and Tiger have been married for five years and have two children

After a reported screaming match, the golfer stormed out of the house, jumped into his car and drove into a fire hydrant and then a tree.

He suffered facial cuts and was unconscious for six minutes.

Elin, 29, who was a nanny on the professional golf circuit when she met Woods, is was reported to have heard the crash and smashed the back window with a golf club to get him out of the wreckage.

But several news sites have suggested she was actually attacking the car in a jealous rage and that the cuts on Woods' face may have been scratches made by Elin.

Since the crash, speculation has raged over the cause of the alleged row between Woods and Elin, who have been married for five years and have a two-year-old daughter, Sam Alexis and a nine-month-old son, Charlie Axel.

Last week US newspaper reported that Rachel had followed Woods out to Melbourne where he was competing in the Australian Open.

She was apparently seen sneaking up to the 35th VIP floor of the hotel where he was staying.

Rachel yesterday claimed her reputation was in tatters. She said: "I don't appreciate my name being dragged through the mud.

"There's just no possible way I could have done what was reported. You can't just walk into a place like that and ride the elevator to a floor with someone like Tiger Woods on it without someone seeing you and stopping you."

Rachel first made headlines in September 2001 after she lost fiancé Andy O'Grady in the attack on the World Trade Centre.

She found love again three years later and tied the knot, but split from her husband after only four months.

Powerful Filipino clan denies staging massacre

A powerful Muslim clan accused of staging a massacre last week of 57 civilians, including dozens of journalists, denied any involvement in the killings in a rare news conference Sunday.

Thousands of followers rallied outside while Zaldy Ampatuan, governor of a Muslim autonomous region, told reporters his family has hired a battery of lawyers to defend his brother, who has been detained as the main suspect in the Nov 23 massacre.

Ampatuan said he and his father, who have also been linked to the savage killings condemned worldwide, were innocent.

He appealed to the public to respect the law and not prejudge his brother, adding he will resist a plan by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's interior secretary to suspend him and other officials of the vast autonomous region that he heads.

"We have been prejudged," Ampatuan told more than a dozen journalists in his family's mansion in Shariff Aguak township, capital of the predominantly Muslim province of Maguindanao, about 545 miles (880 kilometers) south of Manila.

In a demonstration of support, about 30 town mayors from the region trooped to the Ampatuans' heavily fortified residence to stand with the beleaguered clan. About 2,000 followers, many of them young people, held a noisy rally outside, chanting "long live the Ampatuans."

Thousands of troops, backed by tanks, have disarmed nearly 400 militiamen loyal to the Ampatuans and have taken control of Maguindanao's seat of power in Shariff Aguak. Arroyo came under intense domestic and international pressure to take tough actions against the Ampatuans, her longtime political allies.

A convoy of people intending to file candidacy papers for Vice Mayor Esmael Mangudadatu of Maguindanao's Buluan township, who wants to challenge Zaldy Ampatuan for the governorship, was ambushed on Nov 23. More than 30 journalists were invited to cover the event, unprecedented because nobody has run against the Ampatuans for several years.

In all, 57 people were killed - shot at close range and hacked with machetes - in the deadliest single attack on media in the world. The gunmen were allegedly led by Zaldy's brother, Andal Ampatuan Jr., who faces murder charges. - AP

African albinos killed for body parts trade

The mistaken belief that albino body parts have magical powers has driven thousands of Africa's albinos into hiding, fearful of losing their lives and limbs to unscrupulous dealers who can make up to US$75,000 (RM255,000) selling a complete dismembered set.

Mary Owido, who lacks pigment that gives colour to skin, eyes and hair, says she is only comfortable when at work or at home with her husband and children.

"Wherever I go people start talking about me, saying that my legs and hands can fetch a fortune in Tanzania," said Owido, 36, a mother of six. "This kind of talk scares me. I am afraid of going out alone."

Since 2007, 44 albinos have been killed in Tanzania and 14 others have been slain in Burundi, sparking widespread fear among albinos in East Africa.

At least 10,000 have been displaced or gone into hiding since the killings began, according to a report released this week by the International Federation for the Red Cross and Crescent societies.

East Africa's latest albino murder happened in Tanzania's Mwanza region in late October, when albino hunters beheaded 10-year-old Gasper Elikana and chopped off his leg, the report said. The killing left Elikana's father, who tried to defend his son, seriously injured.

Albinism is a hereditary condition, but occurs only when both parents have albinism genes. All six of Owido's children have normal skin color.

African albinos endure insults, discrimination and segregation throughout their lives. They also have a high risk of contracting skin cancer in a region where many jobs are outdoors.

Owido, a high school teacher in the western Kenyan town of Ahero, says she was forced to transfer from a better teaching job on the Kenya-Tanzania border town of Isebania in 2008 after an albino girl she knew was murdered and her body parts chopped off.

The surge in the use of albino body parts as good luck charms is a result of "a kind of marketing exercise by witch doctors," the International Federation for the Red Cross and Crescent societies said.

The report says the market for albino parts exists mainly in Tanzania, where a complete set of body parts - including all limbs, genitals, ears, tongue and nose - can sell for US$75,000. Wealthy buyers use the parts as talismans to bring them wealth and good fortune.

"Albinism is one of the most unfortunate vulnerabilities," said International Federation for the Red Cross and Crescent societies Secretary General Bekele Geleta. "And it needs to be addressed immediately at an international level."

The chairman of the Albino Association of Kenya, Isaac Mwaura, called the murders deplorable but said the killings have given albinos a platform to raise awareness.

Almost 90 per cent of albinos living in the region were raised by single mothers, Mwaura said, because the fathers believed their wives were having affairs with white men.

"When I was born my father said his family tree doesn't have such children and left us," Mwaura said.

Some African communities believe that albinos are harbingers of disaster, while others mistakenly think albinos are mentally retarded and discourage their parents from taking them to school, saying it's a waste of money, he said.

Due to a lack of education, many albinos are illiterate and are forced into menial jobs, exposing them to the sun and skin cancer, he said. Those who manage to finish school face discrimination in the work place and are never considered for promotions.

1. Orang lelaki yang solat sendirian tanpa membaca sesuatu.

2. Orang lelaki yang mengerjakan solat tetapi tidak mengeluarkan zakat.

3. Orang lelaki yang minum arak tanpa meninggalkannya (taubat).

4. Orang lelaki yang menjadi imam padahal orang yang menjadi makmum membencinya.

5. Anak lelaki yang melarikan diri dari rumah tanpa izin kedua ibu bapanya.

6. Orang perempuan yang suaminya marah/menegur kepadanya lalu si isteri memberontak.

7. Imam atau pemimpin yang sombong dan zalim serta menganiaya.

8. Orang perempuan yang tidak menutup aurat.

9. Orang yang suka makan riba.

10. Orang yang solatnya tidak dapat menahannya dari melakukan perbuatan yang keji dan mungkar.

Sabda Rasulullah saw yang bermaksud:

“Barang siapa yang solatnya tidak dapat menahan daripada melakukan perbuatan keji dan mungkar, maka sesungguhnya solatnya itu hanya menambahkan kemungkaran Allah SWT dan jauh dari Allah SWT.”

F10 BMW 5-Series Sedan

I’m back with some live photos of the BMW 5-Series Sedan at its world premiere in Munich, or should I say the mothership of BMW.

I didn’t get to see it actually on the road (except for this one that’s still taped up) as production will only officially begin early 2010 but I must say the actual car in the metal is a little different from the photos.

Not to say that it looks completely different, but different details tend to show up in the photos, and our eyes focus on the details. In real life, we tend to look at the whole car as a whole and see the little details blending in together. And then I realised that BMW was back to the E46-E39-E38 same sausage different length kind of design language. The new 5 properly looks like the middle child between the E90 LCI and the F01, but there are still some individual touches to talk about. But the new car range is far from the design differentiation that the E60-E90-E65 had.

The most dominant detail of the side view in real life is the character line that runs across the door handles. It is very very prominent and casts a stronger shadow below it than anything else on the car. The other character line that runs below the doors and rises up towards the boot kinda disappears because of that. The car also looks less droopy. The F07 5-Series GT’s side gets a completely different treatment with some additional character lines on bottom half of the doors (click link to see what I mean) – those is sorely missed on this F10 5 Sedan!

The new F10 is definitely better looking than the E60. Strangely it also looks smaller than the E60. This is not really something you can observe in photos but its apparent in real life. In metal for some reason it looks more like what one would expect from a 3-Series one or two generations to come. It truly would not be surprising looking at how every generation of car has been growing larger and larger.

Despite looking smaller, in reality the new F10 5-Series is in fact the biggest 5 ever, with the longest wheelbase in its class. It is about 6cm longer than the E60 in terms of body length but the wheelbase has gone up by 8cm, which means the overhangs are actually shorter on this car. That could be one reason why the car looks more compact, but the styling plays another factor. The front end looks sharper while the side profile is less slab-looking because of the character line.

I’m not sure if this will go completely well with the Malaysian customer who actually has the money to buy the 5. Take a look at Honda. They’ve split the Accord line into two for a few generations already, with our market getting the fatter and larger version (as with the US market) because we like our cars big, as more metal for each ringgit feels like we’re getting more value for money. In Europe, a slimmer and sleeker Accord that’s more like a sports car is offered.

Making the new 5-Series look slimmer and sportier more like a large 3 rather than a small 7 should work very well in Europe where the average age of the 5 buyer is lower than the 5 buyer in Malaysia. In Malaysia, the equivalent of the European 7 buyer buys a 5 here, and a 7 buyer here has the mentality and social status of one that buys something a segment higher in Europe, perhaps a Ghost. It’s all because of the ringgit’s lower spending power combined with the ridiculous amount of money we pay for our cars here.

There will probably be a few brand-neutral folks who will go for the W212 over the F10 simply because the W212 looks more “grand”. The 5’s saving grace is that it is still a 5 (and not a 3, a status thing) and it is in fact larger than it looks.
